This fabric is light and finely woven with a very beautiful contrast selvedge edge. We recommend utilising the selvedge within your design. Straight edges such as the pocket, cuffs and button stands could all be cut against the selvedge to create a unique design detail.

Made from 100% organic cotton and woven on hand-looms in India. 

This fabric is 120cm wide and is a suitable weight for our Frida Shirt workshops.

This fabric is dyed using natural pigments and is woven on traditional wooden handlooms. The fibre is Kala Cotton which is a drought resistant variety of cotton native to Kutch where this artisan fabric comes from.

Through gentle washing and wear the fabric absorbs water and becomes softer over time. It's one of the most sustainably made fabrics and one that communicates the character of its heritage so well.

This fabric is handmade and requires gentle hand washing to keep the natural colours vibrant. There may be small imperfections throughout the fabric due to its handmade nature, a quality that we love.
