Before you get started...
We’re so glad you’re here and ready to start your workshop!
Before you sit down to start sewing you will need to do a few things:
If your fabric is machine washable, make sure you put it through the wash at 40 degrees to remove any shrinkage. Let it dry fully and then give it a good iron. Please note, naturally dyed fabrics only require a gently hand-wash in order to keep the colours bright.
If you're printing your pattern at home, check your pattern is to the correct scale by printing page 2 on its own and measuring the 3cm square.
Next, you're ready to cut out your pattern. Use the size chart to make sure you’ve selected the correct size for yourself.
You can then use your pattern to cut your fabric out. Follow our step-by-step guide on our free tutorials for guidance with this.
Make sure your machine is threaded and ready to go, and familiarise yourself with our ‘Setting Up’ and ‘Seams Tutorial’.
Once you have completed the steps above, sit down with a fresh, clear mind to begin sewing.
Enjoy your creative journey!
